Biorespira’s technology is based on the use of a turbinecapable of generating high flows starting from the ambientair, thus not requiring the compressed air supplied by thehospital system. This flow is mixed with medical oxygen,supplied via a oxygen cylinder or medical gas plant.Turbine operation optimizes oxygen consumption andallows the patient to deliver controlled flow and a preciseconcentration of oxygen, maintaining a constant positivepressure. Biorespira allows direct measurement of PEEP pressureand is equipped with an integrated oximeter for acontinuous reading of the actual air pressure delivered tothe patient and oxygen saturation.Biorespira allows a humidifier to be mounted on theinspiratory line.
The use of Biorespira with helmets and non-vented maskwith antibacterial/antiviral filter creates an isolated systemthat prevents the risk of infection caused by the aerosoleffect of the gas exhaled by the patient.
Biorespira is a high flux generator for non-invasivelung ventilation of patients in respiratory insufficiency,for use in sub-intensive care, post-surgery, first aid,assisted health care residences and home care. Thedevice is intended for adult patients who breatheindependently.
